Description:
Bartok realized the importance of composing music especially for piano students. Many of his most engaging works were written especially as teaching material at almost every grade level of piano study, beginning wit the most elementary. Included in these works are many selections based on the folk music he so carefully collected. His style in developing these melodies into engaging piano compositions is characterized by his imaginative use of rhythm, harmony, and varieties of touch and accentuation.
