Description:
The two volumes of The Joy of Romantic Piano explore the colorful bypaths of Romantic piano literature and present a graded repertory of unduly neglected, charming and effective piano works form the 19th and early 20th centuries. The revival of interest in these long-neglected miniatures is entirely justified. While light, melodic and instantaneously appealing, eah of them possesses a certain inherent imagination, inventiveness and craftsmanship on the part of the writers. We trust that studnts, teachers and pianists of all desciptioins will find this addition to Romantic piano repertory fresh, entertaining and useful.
Selected and edited by Denes Agay. Published by Yorktown Music Press.
