Description:
The River Thames flows through southern England and is known for its peace and natural beauty. These characteristics of the river are beautifully portrayed in this solo. Although written in C major, harmonies outside the key are used. The reflective tempo in 4/4 meter and the addition of the damper pedal help to create a dreamy and lyrical style.
